With the new music players called iPods, new phones called iPhones and new radio service called iRadio, it’s no wonder that we can’t mind our p’s and q’s. The I’s are stealing the show! Now it’s high time that other letters come into play in the tech product terminology, sort to speak.
Do you think that the letter I is confined to just those 3 products and services? Think again. Now we have the old double II in a new Nintendo product. But at least the W gets the lead role. Yes, I am talking about the Wii game. If this name catches on, you will no doubt start seeing names like hii fii, xboxii, pspii (A little close to Pepsi there Sony so be careful), or maybe even Msnii, googleii or yahooii. How about yahii?
Now I am no expert in product reviews, so perhaps there are many other iproducts (Oh boy, did I just invent a new name there?) that I am not privy to. But it seems to me that the I’s are taking over the world. It’s not just the letter I which is getting me all worked up, but also the definition of the the letter I. People only care about themselves! It’s I, I, I. What can I gain? What can I buy? What can I have? I think this, or I think that.
Okay, okay perhaps I am over-reacting to the I movement. Perhaps this is just a blip in history. Perhaps someday other letters of the alphabet will step it up and give us some hope. But for now, regarding the I’s, I have completely had it.
